Water Quality Senior Technician
The City of Chandler Public Works & Utilities Department is seeking qualified individuals to join their team as Water Quality Senior Technicians. The role involves performing technical duties related to the protection of the water distribution system, including compliance sampling and customer service regarding water quality issues.

Responsibilities
Perform a variety of technical duties associated with protection of the water distribution system including implementation of the City’s cross connection control program
Collection of drinking water samples for regulatory compliance and operation process control purposes
Responds to customer service calls regarding water quality issues
Verification of proper disinfection and flushing of new water lines
Qualification
Required
A High School Diploma or GED supplemented by 1 year of technical training or related coursework
3 years of experience with physical or chemical testing, water treatment, water distribution system, sewer system maintenance or directly related field
An ADEQ Grade 2 Water Treatment or Water Distribution Certification upon hire or promotion
A Backflow Assembly Tester Certification within 1 year of hire or promotion
A Cross Connection Specialist Certification within 2 years of hire or promotion
A valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
