Data Collector
The National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER) is seeking Data Collectors to work with families and early childhood centers in New Jersey. The role involves scheduling appointments, administering assessments, and reporting completed assessments to the Project Coordinator.
Responsibilities
Assessors will be trained to work with families, children and centers in NJ
The work requires driving to assigned classrooms to administer tests or classroom observations
Among the key duties of this position are: scheduling appointments with schools, administering the assessments, reporting the number of completed assessments on a weekly basis to the Project Coordinator, and returning completed assessments to NIEER
Qualification
Preferred
Graduate students, applicants with a BA, or current upperclassman undergraduate students with a focus on child development, early childhood, psychology or related field, withholding an excellent academic record (GPA of 3.0 or better)
Knowledge about child development and developmentally appropriate early childhood teaching practices is preferred (e.g. Teacher)
Experience in classroom settings and/or working with children
Ability to write, speak, and read Spanish is helpful if feasible
