SaltWorks, Inc. is the world’s leading manufacturer of all-natural, gourmet salts. They are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Associate to join their fast-growing company, responsible for ensuring that orders are shipped and received accurately and on-schedule.

Responsibilities

Receive and unload freight manually or by using a pallet jack or forklift

Verify the quality and count of all received items; check against suppliers count and/or company purchase order(s) and immediately report discrepancies to carriers, accounting, etc

Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records by category; including goods returned, damaged, and returnable pallets

Maintain database of shipment data to ensure that customer orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other departments as required

Packages, wraps and ships all outgoing items according to documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Notify supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions

Prepare bills of lading and dray tickets for shipments

Completes information on damage claims for in-transit damage

Transport materials on shipping dock with a hand truck, pallet jack, or forklift

Adhere to Good Manufacturing Processes, Food Safety Standards and related operational procedures

Other projects and duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
