Responsibilities
Teaching a 12 credit hour load per semester in the undergraduate and/or graduate program
Maintaining an active scholarly research agenda leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals
Actively engaging with the finance profession through conferences and consulting
Advising students on program, course, and career-related matters
Participating actively in school and university service, including committee work and student activities
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. or other terminal degree in Finance or a closely related discipline from a regionally-accredited university
Strong commitment to effective teaching and student mentorship
Genuine desire to integrate Christian faith and learning into course content and delivery
Active scholarly research agenda leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals and other respected outlets
Participation in school and university service, including committee work and student activities
Personal theological beliefs that are in agreement with the Biola Doctrinal Statement
Maintain a lifestyle consistent with sound Christian principles and the standard of conduct promulgated by the institution
Pass a criminal background check as a condition of employment
Preferred
Significant professional finance experience
Active professional certification (e.g., CFA, CFP, FRM)
Demonstrated ability to teach in related areas such as Economics and FinTech
Clear commitment to the integration of faith into scholarship and teaching
