The Senior Android Engineer will lead the development of the Android client and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a secure and high-performance mobile application.
Responsibilities
Lead Android client development from the ground up
Architect the Android stack and establish engineering best practices
Build a high-performance, reliable, and secure mobile application
Collaborate closely with backend, product, and design teams
Contribute to broader mobile strategy across Android, iOS, and mobile web as the platform scales
Ensure the app meets stringent requirements around security, compliance, and reliability
Qualification
Required
5+ years building and shipping consumer-facing Android applications using Java and/or Kotlin
Experience in fintech domains such as banking, payments, remittances, lending, or cryptocurrency
Hands-on experience with fraud prevention, AML, ledger systems, or payments orchestration
Strong understanding of mobile performance, security, and scalability
Preferred
Experience building products for international or emerging markets
Familiarity with Latin American fintech ecosystems
Strong product and design sensibility
Full-stack experience or ability to contribute beyond mobile when needed
