WV Departments of Health, Health Facilities, and Human Services is seeking an Investigator 1 for the WV Lottery. The role involves investigating reported fraud or violations related to the WV Lottery and ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

Perform full performance level work obtaining evidence of reported fraud or violations of rules and regulations of the WV Lottery, WV State Lottery Act, Racetrack video lottery, and table games rules and regulations not limited to all related areas of the Lottery
Work may require the use of a personal automobile for travel and overnight stays may be required
Employee is subject to on-call during non-business hours (24/7) as assigned
May be required to deal with situations which are potentially dangerous
Work location is not smoke free with low lighting
Position will require walking up and down stairs, standing, bending to perform the assigned duties
Work my include compliance inspections of the racetrack and all related areas of assignment
Oversee the operation at the racetrack to ensure proper security procedures are followed in addition to rules and regulations
Conduct and/or assist with investigation to ensure the integrity of the WV Lottery, but not limited to other investigations as assigned

Qualification

Bachelor's degreeInvestigative experienceLaw enforcement experienceDesktop computer skillsSurveillance experienceAccounting/auditing experienceBusiness operations experienceLottery operations experienceCasino operations experienceGaming operations experience

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
One (1) year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in law enforcement or investigative work or in determining eligibility for credit, insurance or government programs
Possession of a valid driver's license and the availability of an automobile is required

Preferred

Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid investigative, law enforcement, surveillance, accounting/auditing, and/or business operations, lottery operations, and/or casino operations, or gaming operations experience
Preference may be shown to applicants with investigative experience in casino or gaming operations
Qualification to possess and use firearms may be required
