Responsibilities

Plan, design, and execute capital and operational projects from concept through commissioning
Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans
Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery
Ensure all projects meet MDA and USDA requirements, including sanitary design, food safety, and inspection readiness
Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs to integrate compliance into engineering solutions
Maintain documentation for audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions
Design and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality
Support installation, validation, and troubleshooting of equipment and systems
Apply sanitary design principles to all facility and equipment modifications
Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Safety teams to align engineering projects with plant needs
Provide technical training and guidance to plant personnel on new systems and equipment
Incorporate OSHA and environmental standards into project execution
Drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives within plant operations

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing or other regulated industries
Knowledge of MDA and USDA food plant regulations, sanitary design principles, and HACCP standards
Strong project management skills with proven experience in budgeting and scheduling
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Proficiency with CAD software, project management tools, and MS Office Suite

Preferred

Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial preferred
