ArtReach Program Fellow

Responsibilities

Identify, assess needs to expand and enhance arts resources and partnerships for visual arts programming in DC’s East of the River communities, enhancing quality arts education
Help strengthen existing community partnerships to provide arts education, workforce development, portfolio-building, and art therapy
Establish and support new programs that foster creativity and skill-building
Ensure effective program delivery, expand offerings to meet community priorities in Wards 7 and 8, and build sustainability for VISTA-initiated projects

Required

A passion for working in an urban community education environment with youth families, schools, and community partners
Skills in networking and building with community organizations
An ability to work independently, take initiative, and create effective work plans
Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to learn from experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in visual arts, volunteer management, program coordination and evaluation
High school diploma/GED
Minimum age of 18
