Payment Posting Specialist II
UTHealth Houston is Texas’ resource for healthcare education and patient care. The Payment Posting Specialist II plays a crucial role in maintaining an efficient revenue cycle by accurately posting payments and resolving issues related to patient accounts.

Responsibilities
Accurately posts all assigned manual and electronic payments to patient accounts
Resolves any edits and reports issues in a timely and accurate manner
Works zero-dollar Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) as assigned
Reconciles payments on a daily basis prior to the end of each shift
Processes and posts credit card payments
Works on special projects as assigned
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/GED
2 years of experience with revenue cycle processes
Ability to work independently without close supervision
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects
Must live in Texas (TX)
This position is a security-sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code 51.215 and Texas Government Code 411.094
Ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure
Preferred
Knowledge and understanding of insurance benefits and medical terminology
Comfortable interacting with others in an office environment
Strong critical thinking skills
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Excellent phone and computer skills
