Payment Posting Specialist II

Responsibilities

Accurately posts all assigned manual and electronic payments to patient accounts
Resolves any edits and reports issues in a timely and accurate manner
Works zero-dollar Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) as assigned
Reconciles payments on a daily basis prior to the end of each shift
Processes and posts credit card payments
Works on special projects as assigned
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma/GED
2 years of experience with revenue cycle processes. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement
Knowledge and understanding of insurance benefits and medical terminology is a plus
Must be comfortable interacting with others in an office environment
Must have strong critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently without close supervision
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Excellent phone and computer skills
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects
This position is a security-sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code 51.215 and Texas Government Code 411.094
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas
