The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Chief Real Estate Appraiser to lead the acquisition of real estate and legal rights-of-way for highway enhancement projects. This role involves ensuring efficient appraisals, overseeing the appraisal process, and managing excess right-of-way sales, all while adhering to state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

Ensure appraisals are conducted efficiently, accurately reflecting fair market value and providing appropriate compensation for any damage

Oversee the appraisal process and handle all excess right-of-way sales, including advertising, agreements of sales, and deeds

Conduct bid opening and auction sales

Handle all requests from the public concerning excess right-of-way

Required

One year as a General Real Estate Appraiser (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or

This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania Certified General Appraiser certification

This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license
