Responsibilities
Lead and support cloud initiatives including implementations, upgrades, migrations, and change requests across client environments
Design, configure, and manage infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform
Automate infrastructure and operational workflows using scripting and configuration tools
Monitor, maintain, and optimize multiple cloud environments based on client requirements
Collaborate with development teams to support the deployment of microservices‑based applications in public cloud environments
Implement and support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes
Contribute to security, high availability, and disaster recovery designs within GCP
Provide technical guidance and light mentorship to junior engineers when needed
Document infrastructure standards, configurations, and operational practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or equivalent practical experience
6+ years of experience supporting cloud infrastructure, migrations, or upgrades within GCP, AWS, or Azure
At least 5 years of hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform
Strong experience administering Linux and/or Windows operating systems
Experience installing, configuring, automating, and monitoring IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services
Solid understanding of cloud security concepts including: IAM and access controls, High availability and disaster recovery architectures
Hands‑on experience with cloud migrations
Automation and scripting experience using tools such as: Ansible, Bash / Shell, Python (Perl a plus)
Experience supporting CI/CD workflows and DevOps practices
Working knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Preferred
Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Associate Cloud Engineer)
Experience supporting multi‑cloud environments
Knowledge of security tooling such as vulnerability scanning, endpoint protection, logging, or SIEM platforms
Experience working in regulated or compliance‑conscious environments
