Responsibilities
Define, establish, and maintain program governance frameworks, processes, and tools to ensure consistency and accountability
Drive program-level planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting
Ensure alignment of program objectives with organizational strategy
Develop program roadmaps, schedules, and resource plans
Manage dependencies, risks, and issues across projects
Drive delivery excellence by monitoring progress and ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget
Act as the primary point of contact for program stakeholders
Facilitate effective communication across executive leadership, business units, and technical teams
Prepare and deliver program status reports, dashboards, and executive updates
Oversee program budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of resources across projects
Support resource planning and workforce management efforts
Establish quality standards and ensure compliance across all projects
Identify and mitigate risks proactively, escalating when necessary
Implement continuous improvement practices to optimize program delivery
Provide guidance and mentorship to project managers and cross-functional team members
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation
Encourage professional growth and knowledge sharing within the team
Qualification
Required
Must have deep Healthcare Payor experience (this would be someone coming from places like Healthcare or United Healthcare or Medicare/Medicaid)
Must have PMO Leadership experience (15 plus years in consulting or executive level roles within payors or consulting firm preferred)
Managing high complexity, multi project enterprise programs
Must have strong executive communication skills and stakeholder engagement ability
Experience with enterprise governance, financials, risk, and cross functional delivery
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in program/project management, with demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale initiatives
Industry Knowledge: Healthcare payor experience required
Background: Consulting experience in a large or mid-sized firm required
Strong knowledge of program management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Proven track record in financial management, risk mitigation, and change management
Preferred
PMP, Agile, SAFe, PgMP or similar certifications strongly preferred
Master's degree preferred
Certifications (preferred): PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or equivalent program management credentials
