Responsibilities
Responsible for literature review, experimental design, implementation and publication of hypothesis driven experiments using entomopathogenic nematodes and fungi. Working environments include lab, greenhouse and field
Maintenance of insect and plant colonies. Working environments include lab and greenhouse and may include planting, watering and weeding
Writes protocols and directs research staff to assist with laboratory operations
Qualification
Required
Earned a Ph.D. in Entomology or closely related field
Strong background of relevant course work
Record of peer reviewed scholarly achievement
Excellent communication skills
Good physical condition, lifting up to 25 pounds
Ability to work outside under high heat and humidity
Ability to repeatedly bend over to collect insects at ground level
Driving requirement
Preferred
Previous experience with entomopathogenic nematodes and or fungi
