Responsibilities

Greet, register, instruct, discharge, and provide general assistance to patients

Obtain demographic and financial information and enter the computer system

Verify insurance eligibility and relay relevant information on payment policies and billing/collection processes

Determine and collect co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, past due balances, and other patient financial responsibilities and maintain and balance the cash drawer

Answer the telephone promptly, virtual messages, and return voicemails

Perform clerical tasks as required

Ability to multitask

Opens, sorts, and screens mail

Assure the readiness of the facility each day

Assist patients with the required processes, i.e. CCPA, Self-Pay, Out of Network, etc

To perform all the duties mentioned above, the Patient Service Representative should have a warm, outgoing personality, excellent telephone etiquette, the ability to work under pressure, and be ability to work accurately and efficiently
