Engineering Technician IV
AI Signal Research, Inc. (ASRI) is seeking an Engineering Technician IV to support engineering, design, or testing of hardware in specialized areas. Responsibilities
Supporting engineering, design, or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization
Certified (or capable of being certified within one year) to Level II or higher of the radiographic requirements of ASNT (TC1A) or equivalent
Possess EPA approved certification in proper refrigerant usage to include freon recovery units
Possess Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training certification to handle liquid rocket engine propellants through the use of Level A protective suits and respiratory protection
Successful completion of vocational/military/technical school training in military aviation maintenance and experience with a focus on propulsion systems and possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
Supporting engineering/testing of systems in an aviation unit with experience in radio frequency transmissions/telemetry/avionics
Electrical/mechanical engineering design, with experience in test fixture design; or an Associate's Degree in drafting or computer aided design (CAD) or equivalent military training and applicable experience
Successful completion of vocational/military/technical school training in practical or industrial arts and a minimum of experience in mechanical fabrication and structural/fixture setup supporting engineering or testing of military hardware
Successful completion of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques and experience in electronics/instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware
Good leadership & people skills with working knowledge of range safety
Research, analyze, and apply safe operating procedures - knowledge and experience in military weapons/missile systems/and lasers
Applying Operational Procedures, Policies, and SOP's
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Seven (7) years of applicable experience supporting engineering, design, or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or three (3) years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and 4 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area
Must be certified (or capable of being certified within one year) to Level II or higher of the radiographic requirements of ASNT (TC1A) or equivalent for Nondestructive Test (NDT) Technician
Must possess EPA approved certification in proper refrigerant usage to include freon recovery units for Environmental Systems Mechanic
Must possess Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training certification to handle liquid rocket engine propellants for Liquid Propellant Handling Technician
At least 6 years of the 7 years of experience must include successful completion of vocational/military/technical school training in military aviation maintenance and experience with a focus on propulsion systems and possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification for Aviation Propulsion Technician
At least 6 years of the 7 years of experience must include supporting engineering/testing of systems in an aviation unit with 1 of those years including experience in radio frequency transmissions/telemetry/avionics for Telemetry Technician
At least 6 years of the 7 years of experience must include electrical/mechanical engineering design, with 2 of those years in test fixture design; or an Associate's Degree in drafting or computer aided design (CAD) or equivalent military training and 5 years of applicable experience for Designer
At least 6 years of the 7 years of experience must include successful completion of vocational/military/technical school training in practical or industrial arts and a minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical fabrication and structural/fixture setup supporting engineering or testing of military hardware for Mechanical
Experience must include successful completion of sixteen (16) weeks of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques and a minimum of 4 years of experience in electronics/instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware for Instrumentation
Must be a U.S. Citizen and have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance
Good leadership & people skills with working knowledge of range safety
Ability to research, analyze, and apply safe operating procedures - knowledge and experience in military weapons/missile systems/and lasers
Experience in applying Operational Procedures, Policies, and SOP's
