Responsibilities
Verifying and documenting that the finished products are manufactured in compliance with customer specifications and AWS D1.1
Performing dimensional layout and visual weld inspections on all welds in accordance with the quality inspection procedures
Documenting all inspections on the appropriate inspection forms
Demonstrating the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience in blueprint reading and layout
Ability to achieve ASNT SNT-TC-1A VT Level II or CWI certification
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times
Preferred
Knowledge and experience with manufacturing steel transmission/distribution monopole structures
ASNT SNT-TC-1A UT Shearwave Level II and MT Yoke Level II
Experience with galvanizing and coatings inspections
Knowledge and experience with weld inspection to the requirements of AWS D1.1
Goal oriented with a drive for continuous improvement
