Responsibilities

Disassemble, decontaminate, clean, and inspect a variety of vacuum pumps for repair
Utilize various hand tools, power tools, sand blaster, and enclosed pressure washing machines in compliance with safety standards
Take pictures of incoming pumps, outgoing pumps, and pictures during disassembly
Upload pictures into computer, shared drive, or Sharepoint file
Read and understand OEM manuals and engineering/technical drawings
Measure and inspect parts for conformance to engineering design
Assist in deciding if parts can be repaired or if they need replaced
Look up correct part numbers and enter them into the work order
Perform repair/rebuild of pumps using manufacturer specifications to ensure proper operation
Test equipment to meet quality control requirements and operational specifications
Learn and understand each type of vacuum pump and how to properly operate each type/model
Comply with all paperwork requirements, including Work orders, Quality Documents, etc
Record all test results accurately on work orders
Paint vacuum pumps to factory or customer chosen colors
Prepare pumps for shipping to customers, including building pallets when necessary, bolting and banding pumps to pallets, shrink wrapping, and attaching necessary documentation and packing slips
Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times by complying with company standards
Assist with cleaning the workshop
Operate forklift and/or other heavy equipment if necessary
Maintain safety standards in all aspects of the facility – Act Safe/Lead Safe
Enter 4 safety observations into the SHE Behavioral Observations portal
Take required compliance training throughout the year including HR designated training, Safety training, and job training to improve pump and process knowledge – 40 hours minimum

Required

High School Diploma or GED Required
One (1) year in a mechanic or related role required
Valid driver's license required
Ability to work with hand and power tools
Ability to operate a forklift and/or other heavy equipment if necessary
Proven history of working with hand tools and measuring devices
Proven history of working in a detail-oriented role
Ability to drive customer success through the building of strong customer relationships and the delivery of customer centric solutions
Ability to improve business results by embracing change and creating innovative ways for the company to be successful, while taking on tough challenges in order to deliver results
Proven history of exhibiting a 'Lead Myself' mentality. Taking on accountability for your individual mission and take responsibility for your own self development

Ability to work in an environment that includes physical demands such as: Prolonged standing, moderate physical exertion, lifting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently
Ability to successfully complete pre-employment screenings including physical exam and drug test
Must be authorized to work in the U.S
