Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Shared Services

Responsibilities
Ensure parameters and safety features on Laser Welding/Marking equipment are accurate for proper operation and subject to successful periodic audits
Participate in the design and arrangement of machines within the Shared Services department to ensure more efficient and productive layout
Support production operations metrics for safety, quality, delivery and cost by proactively promoting/executing continuous improvement projects
Conduct tests and measurements throughout stages of Laser Welding/Marking, Helium leak testing, and Industrial Paint processes to determine optimum control over applicable variables
Total Productive Maintenance/equipment troubleshooting. May make recommendations for the acquisition, installation and use of new equipment and/or materials
Create/update work instructions, manufacturing procedures and other technical documentation. Train other team members on internal processes (personnel qualification)
Other relevant duties as required in the Shared Services department (Non-Destructive testing, Packaging/Logistics)
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 5-year prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field plus minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) access
Laser Welding and/or Marking experience (low/high hazard)
Ability to do equipment calibration. Experience using oscilloscopes and/or electronic testing equipment
Ability to read electronic specifications, schematics, technical manuals
Experience with Data Management, Process Simulation, or 3D Design Software (Solidworks)
Preferred
Experience with Project and Visio
Solid interpersonal and presentation skills - ability to communicate and influence at all levels within an organization
Experience as Laser Safety Officer (LSO) or in lieu, be able to obtain respective certification in a timely manner
Experience in explosives technology / practical knowledge on welding explosive devices
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Application Programming Interface (API) expertise
Experience with Non-Destructive Testing and inspection techniques (X-Ray / N-Ray / CT scanning / Helium leak testing)
Industrial Paint process knowledge
Experience with Packaging/Logistics in Energetics Manufacturing environment
