Responsibilities

Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for patients on med/surg units

Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care

Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care

Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care

Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

Qualification

Nursing LicensureBLS CertificationAcute Care ExperienceTelemetry CompetenceMedical Surgical ExperienceCompassionate CareCommunication Skills

Required

Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required

Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required

BLS Certification for the Healthcare Provider required

Must maintain an active NIHSS certification

A minimum two years of recent acute care clinical experience in med/surg required

Telemetry competence required

Telemetry competence must be demonstrated within 14 days of hire by passing online telemetry test

Preferred

BSN strongly preferred
