Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization
Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
Qualification
Required
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
Minimum Qualification: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification obtained within six months of hire date to position
Minimum Qualification: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification obtained within six months of hire date to position
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire
Preferred
Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program
