NEOGOV is seeking an Engineering Technician for the Department of Transportation in Pennsylvania. This role involves providing engineering support while participating in a comprehensive training program to develop skills in design, construction, and maintenance within the engineering technician field.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering support to different units within PennDOT

Participate in a structured training program that includes rotational assignments across various engineering districts

Engage in technical drafting tasks, producing highway plans from field survey data

Design minor highway projects from the initial engineering phase to the final plan

Complete minor design assignments under supervision

Utilize Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) software

Required

An associate degree in surveying, drafting, designing, civil, or any other appropriate field of engineering technology

Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree
