Project Intermediate Manager, Organizational Well-Being

Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple projects, ensuring timely, budget-compliant, and scope-specific delivery. Develop comprehensive project plans, covering timelines, budgets, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication
Work closely with Michigan Medicine stakeholders to gather requirements, define objectives, align on deliverables, and implement solutions that enhance patient safety and system efficiency
Track project progress and performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Identify and mitigate potential risks, adjusting project plans as necessary
Prepare and present regular project status reports to key stakeholders, ensuring clear and transparent communication
Organize and facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas, and document minutes and action items
Maintain project documentation, ensuring adherence to university standards and policies
Continuously seek and implement opportunities to improve project management processes and methodologies
Apply systems thinking to analyze the interactions and contributions of different components within the healthcare system
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably within an educational, research, or similar institutional environment
Professional certification such as PMP, CAPM, or equivalent is highly desirable
Proven track record of managing projects of varying complexity, including budget management and resource coordination
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders
Proficiency in project management software such as SmartSheets or similar tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
Preferred
Experience with systems engineering, particularly in healthcare contexts
Understanding of multidisciplinary approaches, involving collaboration with experts from fields like medicine, nursing, and public health
Ability to conduct research on practical issues faced by patients and healthcare providers and to develop innovative solutions
