The University of Michigan is seeking a technician for the Guo lab, focusing on aging and regeneration in model systems. The role involves setting up automated culturing systems, preparing culture medium, and assisting in molecular biology experiments.

Responsibilities
Work with Dr. Guo to setup an automated planarian culturing system
Prepare planarian culture medium in an automated setup
Weekly feeding of animals on the automated system
Daily monitoring of animals on the automated system
Assistance in experiments in molecular biology
Qualification
Required
B.S. or B.A. degree in a relevant biological science, for example, Biology, Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Neuroscience, or Chemistry
0-1 year experience required
Willing to handle planarians and multi-task to complete assignments in a timely manner
Ability to work in a team project environment
Motivation, organization skills, and communication skills
Preferred
Evidence of lab experiences with basic molecular biology techniques, such as PCR, DNA/RNA extraction or molecular cloning
Experiences with tissue sectioning and staining, such as H&E, immunohistochemistry or immunofluorescence
