Quality Control Technician - Prestress

County Materials Family of Companies manufactures and delivers concrete construction products, and they are seeking a Quality Control Technician for County Prestress. The role involves performing quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacturing process, as well as working with production to resolve quality issues related to casting and concrete performance.

Responsibilities

Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products

Inspects materials, parts, and products at different stages of production

Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes

Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the concrete industry

Regularly observes the production process, including setup, casting, stripping, and storage of product

Work with production to identify and resolve quality issues related to casting and concrete performance

Manage housekeeping to ensure a safe workplace

Ability to/open to learn how to interpret shop drawings and job specifications

Proficient in Computer Skills with Microsoft Office

Must have the ability to train and obtain technical certifications as directed and supported by the company

Understanding of, or willingness to work in a manufacturing environment

Preferred

Experience in the construction and/or building materials industry preferred, not required

Concrete plant and/or quality control experience is highly desired
