Responsibilities
Research, interpret, and analyze federal and state healthcare regulations, including the Affordable Care Act (ACA)
Provide clear, actionable regulatory guidance to business partners to ensure timely and accurate implementation of new or revised requirements
Serve as a subject-matter resource for operational teams on compliance-related matters
Identify, document, and track compliance issues using compliance management and CAP tracking systems
Develop and monitor corrective action plans (CAPs), ensuring remediation aligns with regulatory expectations and internal standards
Maintain ongoing status updates for all disclosed issues and regulatory commitments
Partner with operational areas to investigate compliance gaps, perform root-cause analysis, and validate evidence of remediation
Ensure business owners take accountability for assigned CAPs
Support updates to policies, procedures, and workflows to reflect compliant processes
Analyze performance indicators, trends, and audit results to identify emerging compliance risks
Escalate issues as appropriate and drive timely resolution before they become regulatory exposures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
At least 3 years of experience in managed care, healthcare, or a related regulatory environment
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate complex regulations into clear guidance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel); experience with Citrix is a plus
Comfortable adapting to new systems and technology
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred
Background in healthcare compliance, health insurance operations, or regulatory affairs
Strong familiarity with ACA-related regulations
JD or legal research experience is a significant advantage
