Project Manager, Workforce and Apprenticeship Projects

Responsibilities

Works with the Technical Advisor of Apprenticeship and Workforce to ensure the successful coordination, management, and implementation of the projects with quality
Create scopes of work for subgrantees; monitor and track subgrantees and project workstream deliverables
Creates and monitors work plans and deliverables, reviews and uses data to support programmatic effectiveness and continuous program improvement
Identifies and resolves project issues and implements improvement plans to ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget
Creates and maintains project materials, including but not limited to standardized operating procedures, protocols, implementation guides, and other templates
Develops and delivers project plans, documentation, training, presentations, and budget proposals to management
Drafts quarterly narrative reports, PPT presentations, and other reports
Creates process, agendas, content, and logistics for communities of practice, annual convenings of partners, and Accelerator events
Builds, develops, and grows partnerships vital to the success of multiple registered apprenticeship programs, including the Youth Development Practitioner Apprenticeship
Maintains strong working relationships and consistent communication with internal and external colleagues and program partners around the globe
Prepares and delivers high quality products, including program reports, summaries, and briefs, in a timely fashion
Facilitates communities of practices and internal project staff meetings
Oversees quality control
Conducts analysis of program implementation to identify areas for improvement and proposes appropriate technical strategy and guidelines to advance implementation
Works with Technical Advisor and senior staff to develop materials and tools that support local program implementation, foster continuous program improvement, and build local capacity
Provides coaching and training (in the field and virtually via online tools) to local partners
Participates in business development functions, such as writing sections of proposals to expand the portfolio of projects, as requested
Performs other duties, as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in education policy, education research, higher education, public administration, public policy, sociology, psychology, or related fields
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant program management experience at a non-governmental organization (NGO), government agency, institution of higher education foundation, or private corporation
Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision; ability to meet deadlines under pressure
Has sensitivity to cultural diversity and an understanding of the political, contextual, and ethical issues associated with human centered program implementation and scalability
Articulate and professional; able to communicate in a clear, positive fashion with corporate clients and staff
Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English

Preferred

Master's degree preferred
Project Management (PM) Certification preferred
Experience managing an apprenticeship or workforce development programs preferred
