Responsibilities

Lead RCS (Rich Communication Services) projects by treating infrastructure as a product, bridging consumer and business needs while future-proofing for satellite and AI-agent capabilities
Define and drive quality improvements, partnering deeply with engineering teams to set and achieve rigorous standards for latency, reliability, and global delivery
Represent Google’s technical interests in external discussions with carriers and standards bodies, translating ecosystem constraints into executable internal roadmaps
Guide the strategy and build-out of essential infrastructure services, including emergency communication (RCS 911) and safety features, ensuring platform resilience in life-critical scenarios

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
8 years of experience in product management or a related technical role
3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc)
Experience owning and defining the strategy for platform products

Preferred

Master's degree in a technology or a business related field
6 years of platform product management experience, with a focus on platform, infrastructure, or developer products
5 years of experience in a business function, with a focus on managing external partners and navigating ecosystem dependencies
5 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering teams on technical issues (e.g., APIs, cloud infrastructure, networking protocols)
4 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership
3 years of experience in software development or engineering
