Responsibilities
Gain and maintain a working knowledge of the systems that support our accounting
Create and document journal entries (e.g., journal upload, general ledger queries)
Support customer needs by providing on-demand claims and revenue detail
Prepare account reconciliations
Create and update month-end reports to ensure management has data to drive decision-making
Analyze fluctuations in accounts month over month, and year over year
Improve business and accounting processes, leveraging latest technology to automate and digitalize processes
Support audit, compliance and regulatory requirements for regulated entities by preparing requested data from the GL, Sub-ledgers or other data repositories
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting
Must be 18 years of age or older
1+ years of professional accounting experience
Understanding and practical application of U.S. GAAP
Experience with Microsoft Excel (formulas, tables, vlookups)
Ability to work full time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime
Preferred
CPA and/or MBA
Public accounting experience
Experience with Hyperion Smartview/Essbase, PeopleSoft, and/or Blackline
SQL and/or SAS skills and experience working with large databases
