Responsibilities
Provide clear, practical compliance advice and guidance to Operations and Services
Support the interpretation and application of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, including jurisdictional differences
Assist in managing compliance risks and contractual obligations across the organisation
Champion a positive, proactive culture of compliance aligned to the Nido Way
Support the development, standardisation, and implementation of compliance checks and tools
Monitor completion of mandated audits and compliance activities
Assist with compliance reporting for Operations, Executive Leadership and Board reporting
Support the review and maintenance of policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements
Support services and PQLs with high-risk incidents, investigations, and compliance matters
Assist in the management of reportable incidents and regulatory notifications
Analyse incident and audit data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Support proactive risk identification and mitigation across services
Assist in the development and delivery of compliance-related training and resources
Support research into best practice and continuous improvement initiatives
Help build compliance capability across leaders and service teams
Qualification
Required
5 years of experience in compliance, regulation, governance, or risk (ECEC experience highly regarded)
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements
Experience supporting audits, investigations, or regulatory reporting
Ability to provide practical, solutions-focused advice in complex environments
Strong written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills
High attention to detail with a strong sense of accountability
Confidence working with sensitive and confidential information
