Predictive Pricing Analyst

Salt River Project (SRP) is one of the largest public power and water utilities in the U.S., providing electricity to approximately one million customers in the greater metropolitan Phoenix area. The Predictive Pricing Analyst will be involved in the development of pricing studies, programs, and rate designs that align with industry best practices and support SRP's corporate objectives.

Responsibilities

Prepare cost studies and develop rates, rate adjustments, rate policy, regulations, and other resources contracts
Define problems, work with large data sets, apply advanced economic and mathematical concepts, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Recommend solutions to new and complex problems, develop innovative strategies, quantify the competitive performance of the organization's operations and/or markets, and evaluate the potential impact of changes
Administer electric rate change proceedings and document rate alternative suggestions and management recommendations
Provide qualitative and quantitative economic and financial analyses for corporate-wide use
Represent Pricing and participate in company-wide cross-functional teams

Required

A bachelor's degree relevant to the assignment from an accredited institution is required
For a Level 1 (Associate), a minimum of no previous years of experience to two years related experience is required
For a Level 2 (Journey), a minimum of two years of experience to four years related experience is required
For a Level 3 (Senior), a minimum of five years of related experience is required
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Ability to analyze and disseminate large amounts of data
Skilled in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as a demonstrated ability to utilize financial applications
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

Demonstrated knowledge of financial/statistical modeling and pricing tools preferred, such as SAS, R, or Python
Experience with regulatory compliance, RTOs, transmission/OATT pricing, and/or energy markets a plus
