Career Development Supervisor
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster. The Career Development Supervisor will oversee the development and implementation of career pathways programming, ensuring programs meet performance goals and are responsive to client needs while supervising a team of direct service staff.

Responsibilities
Design, implement, and provide monitoring and evaluation oversight for career and industry-specific programming
Ensure that information required for program eligibility for all career programs and reporting purposes is collected and that accurate records are maintained, including case files and client data entry
Compile grant reports and assist with grant writing
Work as part of a team to provide comprehensive strength-based services to IRC clients through coordination of cases and effective communication between team members and departments
Recruit, hire, and supervise all staff, interns, and volunteers providing career support services to clients enrolled in career programs
Oversee the development of comprehensive employment plans, budget plans, and goal setting activities for each employable adult
Establish new partnerships and employer relationships
Develop programs for volunteer engagement, including financial education programming and community sustained workshops
Participate in IRC network-wide initiatives to understand and share best-practices relating to career pathways programming
Support Economic Empowerment team activities and participate in program development and design for the department
Monitor intake and enrollment trends, quality of service provision and timeliness and accuracy of case file documentation
Participate in program meetings, staff development activities, and other duties as assigned; and
Comply with all policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency
Build and maintain partnerships with community-based organizations, career service providers, and small business and corporate entities for advanced career opportunities
Coordinate corporate and employer engagement opportunities and events
Support the integration of refugee youth and adults, provide clients the opportunity to identify and prioritize goals that will support their integration while also developing positive and meaningful relationships with insightful and culturally responsive mentors/staff
Verify that each client participating in the IRC programs meet eligibility requirements and maintain eligibility documentation certifying each individual’s eligibility
Provide allowable mentoring services and case management activities for eligible refugee youth and adults
Provide case management that includes documenting services provided and the progress of each youth and adult toward meeting their service plan
Supervise, guide, and support staff providing direct services to clients through feedback and training when necessary to ensure staff have positive output in their daily activities
Assess, evaluate, and report program and staff performance and escalate issues requiring additional attention
Ensure compliance of self and team with all policies, procedures and protocols of the agency
Meet regularly (at least once per week) with direct report staff and approve timesheets
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate degree in social work, social sciences, or related field is required; advanced degree preferred
Minimum of 2-year relevant work experience in human services, economic empowerment, workforce development, or youth services required. Prior supervisory experience highly desirable
Highly professional with strong technical writing and communication skills, including experience engaging businesses and community groups; grant-writing experience strongly preferred
Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, effectively manage time and meet deadlines
Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment
Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectively
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with data tracking software an asset
Valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle with current insurance
