The Data & AI Intern will assist in designing AI architecture and user behavior analytics, focusing on creating workflows and analyzing user journeys to provide actionable insights.

Responsibilities
Design and maintain a basic event/data model for user behavior across Smartlook (or similar), internal messenger and CRM (events, properties, IDs, funnels)
Build simple data exports/pipelines (Smartlook, internal tools, CRM) into structured tables and dashboards for recurring analysis
Analyze user journeys (sign-up → search → RFQ, etc.) and deliver weekly, actionable insights and metrics to the founder/product/sales
Help design the agentic marketplace architecture
Prototype and refine agentic workflows
Support integration of Zoom SDK and Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services for call transcription/translation and route this data into internal tools
Document architectures, data flows, definitions, and specs so others can reuse and extend your work
Do targeted data cleaning/entry to keep CRM and analytics data consistent and usable
Qualification
Required
Strong in ONE of the two tracks below (clearly indicate which one in your application):
Track A – Data/Analytics
At least 2 years of serious experience working with data/analytics (internship or full-time, preferably in one company/role, not scattered micro-gigs)
Hands-on experience with Smartlook or similar product analytics tools (Hotjar, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.)
Event tracking, funnels/cohorts, strong Google Sheets/Excel, and basic SQL
Comfortable working with structured and semi-structured data (JSON, logs, events) and designing basic data flows that keep analytics and reporting maintainable
Track B – AI/Agentic
At least 2 years of serious experience in software/AI work (internship or full-time, preferably in one company/role, not scattered micro-gigs)
Strong Python skills and ability to use LLM APIs (OpenAI or similar) for onboarding chatbots, auto-summarizing/labeling calls, and powering agent behavior (decision suggestions, routing, next-best actions)
Software development experience integrating APIs/SDKs, ideally including Zoom SDK and/or Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services for call transcription/translation, and piping that data into internal systems or databases
Strong product/systems thinking: can turn a vision into simple architectures, clear technical requirements at least at the medium granularity level, and concise written specs and diagrams
Preferred
Bonus: familiarity with Elixir for backend/services
