Responsibilities
Delivering high-quality scientific content—both by developing it yourself and by overseeing, briefing, and reviewing work from other writers, including freelancers
Acting as the scientific expert on assigned accounts—understanding the therapeutic landscape and scientific data, and offering high-level scientific insight and guidance
Building strong relationships with clients and serving as a trusted advisor
Contributing to scientific strategy on assigned accounts to develop impactful commercial programs
Playing an active role in business development—contributing to proposals and pitches, and proactively identifying new opportunities within existing accounts
Mentoring and managing medical writers as the team continues to grow
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in medical writing within a medical communications agency or similar environment
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
A strategic mindset and the ability to collaborate closely with colleagues and clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
An undergraduate degree in a relevant scientific field is preferred but not essential if the required level of scientific understanding is demonstrated
An advanced degree or PhD is a plus
