Responsibilities

Be an expert with extensive experience in women’s swimwear within a successful commercial space
Strong understanding of swim market and trends
Exhibit organization and clear communication to thrive in a high-paced work environment with an advanced multi-track calendar
Drive success within a multifaceted organization, ensuring your team is connected and up-to-date in PD, Fit, Merchandising, Raw Materials, Sourcing, Color and Textures, Planning, Product Education, etc
Lead, collaborate, brainstorm, and co-create concepts, seasonal direction, and design as both a leader and a mentor
Effectively communicate visual point of view via digital mood boards, decks, and inspiration
Collaborate with Merchants to harmonize commerciality with innovation. Understand the importance of running a high-volume business, closely monitoring sell-through, and reacting to market shifts and consumer trends
Design and execute industry-leading styles that reflect Walmart’s design ethos and meet our customers’ needs
Demonstrate a sharp understanding of pattern, movement, and technical construction to communicate effectively with Fit, PD, factories, and 3D teams
Attend fittings and participate in construction reviews, considering aesthetics, function, and cost/IMU of garments

Required

Bachelor's degree in fashion design, textile design, or related area and 3 years' experience in apparel design, garment construction, or related area
5 years' experience in apparel design, garment construction, or related area
Be an expert with extensive experience in women's swimwear within a successful commercial space
Strong understanding of swim market and trends
