The role involves the repair and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities and city-wide pumping stations, including the inspection, adjustment, installation, and preventive maintenance of various wastewater treatment equipment and structures.

Responsibilities
Perform repair and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities and city-wide pumping stations
Inspect, adjust, install, repair, and conduct preventive/predictive maintenance of wastewater treatment equipment and structures including pumps, gear reducers, valves, generators, pipe systems, boilers, heat exchangers, blowers, clarifiers, and screen house systems
Work with considerable independence and have work reviewed by a supervisor through on-site inspection for proper completion and/or review of completed work orders
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of fluid dynamics, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems
Experience with welding and cutting structural steel; basic metal fabrication; pipefitting and layout; machine layout, blueprint reading, machinery erection, maintaining and rebuilding mechanical equipment and mechanisms, power transmission; mechanical piping systems, tubing, and plumbing
Experience in performing precision alignment and vibration analysis of equipment
Experience operating precision hand tools, power tools, precision measurement tools, and basic machine tools
A valid state driver's license and acceptable driving record at the time of hire
Successful candidates will have completed a 4-year apprenticeship program as an Industrial Maintenance Millwright or possess demonstrated equivalent skills and experience
Preferred
Veteran's Preference documents (e.g., DD214-Member 4, VA Benefit Letter) must be submitted by the closing date
