Responsibilities
Partner with Fund Operations leadership to capture new ideas, pain points, and opportunities for automation and efficiency
Translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
Act as a bridge between the business and Technology teams, championing innovation in funds systems
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend their application to enhance funds operations and client experience
Lead the design, build, and implementation of new funds technology initiatives
Work across Technology teams (Cloud, Data, Software Development, Automation, AI) to deliver integrated solutions
Ensure systems and data flows between fund administration, compliance, reporting, and investor platforms are seamless
Drive proof-of-concepts (POCs) and pilots for new technology, ensuring successful adoption into production
Apply hands-on technical skills in SQL, Python, Databricks, and Azure to guide solution design and validate delivery
Oversee data pipelines, automations, and system integrations related to funds operations
Support modernization of legacy and classic fund technology systems, ensuring scalability and cloud readiness
Collaborate with Data & AI teams to enable analytics, dashboards, and advanced insights for fund managers and clients
Ensure all solutions comply with regulatory standards, security requirements, and internal governance
Define and maintain documentation, best practices, and architecture blueprints for funds technology
Act as the technology owner for funds systems, ensuring they are strategically aligned and future-proof
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline
8+ years of experience working in Funds Technology or Fund Administration Technology leadership roles
Demonstrated track record of designing and delivering new technology solutions in funds/asset management
Strong understanding of fund operations: NAV, reconciliations, investor servicing, compliance, and reporting
Advanced SQL and Python expertise for solution design and validation
Experience integrating fund systems with business intelligence, reporting, and compliance tools
Ability to balance modernization of legacy systems with adoption of modern, cloud-native platforms
Strong business partnering and stakeholder management
Ability to translate operational requirements into technical designs
Excellent communication and influencing skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proven leadership in delivering complex, cross-team technology projects
Preferred
Proven experience with Databricks and Azure services for data engineering and cloud delivery
