This role will be responsible for overseeing the general accounting function, implementing accounting systems, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities
Assign and audit the work of the accounting staff to develop, implement and/or maintain one or a combination of generally accepted accounting systems
Oversee basic accounting procedures (A/R, A/P, G/L, sales tax payments, cost accounting, commissions and inventory control)
Monitor and review all records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transitions
Serve as company liaison with auditors (annual financial audits)
Perform all basic accounting procedures, month end closing, journal entries and general ledger maintenance, inventory roll forwards, and fixed assets and margin analysis; prepare supporting schedules for financial statements preparation
Review, analyze and reconcile general ledger transactions in conjunction with preparing reports for management
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Experience in general accounting functions
Ability to oversee, implement, and maintain accounting systems, procedures, and policies
Strong analytical skills for compiling, analyzing, and reporting accounting data
Experience acting as a liaison with government and CPA auditors
Ability to assign and audit the work of accounting staff
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting systems
Experience with basic accounting procedures (A/R, A/P, G/L, sales tax payments, cost accounting, commissions, and inventory control)
Ability to monitor and review records of assets, liabilities, and financial transactions
Experience performing month end closing, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance
Ability to prepare supporting schedules for financial statements preparation
Experience reviewing, analyzing, and reconciling general ledger transactions
