Systems Engineer - Human Factors
EVONA is focused on human space exploration and is seeking a Systems Engineer, Human Factors to design and evaluate crewed space systems. The role involves applying human-centered design principles to enhance safety and astronaut performance while collaborating with various teams throughout the development process.

Responsibilities
Apply human factors requirements to vehicle development and track them to closure
Provide human systems expertise across design, development, and integration activities
Lead Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) testing, including test planning, data collection, analysis, and program management
Analyze test results, write clear reports, and drive design improvements with engineering, training, and mission ops teams
Conduct specialized analyses such as hazard analysis, human error analysis, crew task analysis, and vehicle handling qualities
Support verification planning and testing to ensure human factors requirements are met
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in human factors engineering or a related field
Experience in human factors engineering, ideally within aerospace or similarly complex environments
Familiarity with Human-in-the-Loop testing methodologies
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
U.S. Person
Preferred
Advanced degree in human factors or a related discipline
Experience working with NASA
Knowledge of spacecraft systems and operations
Proficiency with statistical analysis and/or human performance modeling tools
