Responsibilities
Operate mini excavators to dig trenches, install pipe or conduit, and backfill safely and efficiently
Work with the ground crew to set grades, place bedding material, and maintain safe trench conditions
Read and follow construction drawings and specifications
Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
Follow OSHA and company safety standards at all times
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience operating mini excavators in construction or utility work
Knowledge of trench safety, slopes, and bedding
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Operate mini excavators to dig trenches, install pipe or conduit, and backfill safely and efficiently
Work with the ground crew to set grades, place bedding material, and maintain safe trench conditions
Read and follow construction drawings and specifications
Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
Follow OSHA and company safety standards at all times
Preferred
Experience with underground utilities or operating other equipment such as skid steers or backhoes
