They are seeking a Finance Assistant to maintain accurate financial records, support the finance function, and ensure smooth daily accounting tasks in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

Responsibilities
Processing purchase invoices and reconciling supplier statements
Managing accounts payable and receivable
Preparing and processing payments
Assisting with bank reconciliations
Posting journals and maintaining the general ledger
Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes
Assisting with VAT returns and compliance
Reconciling Shopify sales with accounting records
Monitoring payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, etc.)
Supporting stock and inventory reconciliation
Working closely with operations and customer service teams
Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
Producing regular management reports
Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
Assisting the Group Financial Controller / CFO with ad-hoc projects
Qualification
Required
Previous experience in a Finance Assistant or similar role
Working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
Strong Excel / spreadsheet and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Comfortable working with numbers and financial data
Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
Preferred
Experience within e-commerce or retail
AAT qualified or studying towards accounting qualification
