RF Electronics Design Engineer
Quantic Wenzel is an innovative RF electronics engineering and manufacturing company seeking a Senior RF/Electronics Design Engineer. In this role, you will develop cutting-edge circuit designs for various applications including aerospace and quantum computing, while collaborating with a talented team to ensure project success.
Electronics
Responsibilities
Designing low phase noise oscillators, frequency sources, synthesizers, RF/microwave building blocks (amplifiers, detectors, mixers, couplers, filters, up/down conversion), integrated microwave assemblies, and subsystems
Developing next generation RF/microwave and electronic solutions for aerospace, space, defense, test & measurement, scientific, and quantum computing applications
Working with customers to understand requirements and decomposing that into product design and performance specifications
Working with program managers, electrical engineers, RF/microwave engineers, mechanical engineers, software/firmware engineers, test engineers, manufacturing engineers, suppliers, production and quality to ensure products meet requirements and are delivered on time and budget
Testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis and corrective action
Developing and documenting procedures and process to ensure compliance to standards
Participating and staying up to date with RF/microwave and electronics industry trends and breakthroughs
Managing your projects to schedule and cost
Qualification
Required
Minimum BSEE or equivalent - MSEE or equivalent preferred
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in RF/Electronics design and development and able to design with minimal direction
Extensive experience with electronic circuits/schematics
Experience with low phase noise oscillators, frequency sources, and synthesizers
Experience with RF/microwave components, blocks, subsystems, and systems
Experience with RF/electronics test equipment, processes, test procedures, testing, and debug
Experience with designing military, aerospace, or space grade hardware
Experience working with and leading small/focused design teams
EMI/EMC analysis and practices and IPC standards
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Atlassian Jira/Confluence
Experience with PCB layouts
Experience with requirements/specification management and decomposition
RF/microwave and oscillator design, development, test and debug
Skills in written and verbal communication
Self-motivated, a multitasking wizard, and detail-oriented
Ability to prioritize and thrive in high-pressure situations
Ability to work well with others and logical thinking
High ethical standards
Must be authorized to work in the United States, and may be subject to a government security investigation to obtain a government security clearance
