Managing eDNA testing operations using a qPCR system
Maintaining laboratory standards and overseeing equipment and calibrations
Maintaining consumables and establishing testing procedures to fit the academic environment
Building towards developing assays for novel species
Leading authentic client-based projects
Ensuring data integrity, lab safety, and operational excellence
Mentoring high school students engaged in real-world bioscience experiences
Qualification
Required
Experience managing eDNA testing operations using a qPCR (Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction) system
Ability to maintain laboratory standards and oversee equipment and calibrations
Experience maintaining consumables and establishing testing procedures
Experience in developing assays for novel species
Ability to lead authentic client-based projects
Strong entrepreneurial mindset
Ability to ensure data integrity, lab safety, and operational excellence
Experience mentoring high school students in bioscience
