Engineering Technician - Contractor - C
LanceSoft, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician for a 12-month contract role in Rochester, NY. The position involves working in a manufacturing environment, performing assembly tasks, reading engineering drawings, and maintaining documentation.

Responsibilities
Experience in production assembly
Perform work in manufacturing and/or prototyping environment
Read engineering drawings/blueprints/schematics and detailed work instructions
Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation
Work with very fragile and precise assemblies
Assist with identifying problems and suggest solutions
Adhere to established policies, procedures, and proper labor charging practices
Work with a variety of hand tools and specialized equipment
Must be proficient with measuring tools (verniers, calipers, scales, etc.)
Must be able to perform as an individual contributor as well as within a team environment
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and be willing to submit to a background investigation, as a government security clearance might be required for this position
Ability to work overtime/weekends/shifts and some travel
Ability to stand, walk, and move around for long periods
Security Clearance required for role: Ability to Obtain
Experience in production assembly

Experience in an Electrical/Mechanical/Optical discipline
Aerospace or Defense industry experience
Experience with shop equipment including but not limited to Mills, Lathes, Grinders, and precision measuring equipment
