Clinical Coding Auditor & Trainer (Associate & Senior Level)

Responsibilities
Audit work performed by staff and present findings and recommendations for improvements to management
Manage auditing projects independently, requiring originality and critical thinking
Assist in revising policies, procedures, and work process development
Analyze training needs for clinical and coding staff
Develop or select appropriate training programs and create training aids
Maintain records of audit and training activities and track employee progress
Review patient letters for accuracy and clarity with strong English grammar skills
Comply with all company policies and standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Inpatient coding experience
At least 1-year clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting
4+ years of DRG and/or Medical Record Audit experience
Associate's degree in Nursing or equivalent experience
RN, PA, MD, APRN, DO, or MBBS license required
Strong written communication skills
Training or auditing experience in healthcare or managed care
Preferred
Current CPC or CIC Certification through APPC, or CCS through AHIMA
RHIA or RHIT credentials desirable
