Sales Lead, SFR/STR Investors
Cedar is creating significant innovations in home affordability and is seeking a Sales Lead to develop and manage relationships with portfolio investors in the SFR and STR sectors. The role focuses on building investor awareness, generating deal flow, and driving closings while collaborating with various teams to support transactions.

Responsibilities
Identify and engage portfolio brokers, property funds, and investor groups across the SFR and STR markets
Build and manage a pipeline of investor opportunities that align with Cedar’s acquisition criteria
Conduct outreach, presentations, and follow-up that convert interest into active deals
Educate investors on how Cedar’s model can improve cash flow, cap rates, and exit options
Assist in structuring and coordinating portfolio transactions from introduction to close
Work cross-functionally with asset management and transaction management to ensure pricing, underwriting, and due diligence are aligned
Develop investor-specific pitch decks, ROI models, and financial illustrations
Collaborate with marketing to refine messaging, materials, and case studies tailored to investor audiences
Represent Cedar at industry conferences and networking events to build market awareness and partnerships
Track investor activity, deal stages, and performance metrics in CRM systems
Provide feedback to leadership on investor needs, market trends, and portfolio strategies
Contribute to internal reporting on pipeline performance and closed volume
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in real estate sales, business development, or investment partnerships within SFR, STR, or capital markets environments
Familiarity with institutional and portfolio investors, fund managers, and brokerage networks
Understanding of underwriting, yield metrics, and investment economics
Strong knowledge of real estate transaction mechanics and due diligence processes
Understanding of compliance and regulations in the real estate investment ecosystem
Proven ability to generate leads, manage pipelines, and close deals
Excellent communication and presentation skills with comfort engaging investor-level stakeholders
Highly organized with strong follow-up discipline and CRM proficiency
Self-starter who thrives in a performance-driven environment and stays motivated under pressure
Passionate about creating more accessible and sustainable paths to housing and investment growth

Existing relationships and experience in selling to SFR/STR investors
Prior experience in origination roles for non-QM/DSCR lenders or as an SFR/STR investment broker
