Responsibilities
Facilitate coordination between cross-functional teams and ensure knowledge sharing and alignment
Drive collaboration and act as point of contact between work streams, managing dependencies proactively
Develop and monitor project plans with clear goals, milestones, and responsibilities
Track progress across all work streams and address delays to ensure timely delivery
Monitor team capacity to ensure balanced workload and reallocate resources as needed
Evaluate team performance using data insights and provide regular feedback
Report project status and team performance to senior leadership
Ensure timely task completion and evaluate outcomes for continuous improvement
Identify and mitigate risks, including security and compliance issues
Communicate project risks to stakeholders and develop corrective action plans
Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal security policies and standards
Collaborate with enterprise security teams to validate security architecture
Provide security guidance to development and DevOps teams throughout SDLC
Guide configuration and use of cloud security services in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Assist in enforcing infrastructure security standards and participate in threat modeling
Oversee vendor relationships and ensure delivery aligns with organizational and security standards
Enforce security clauses in vendor engagements per state cybersecurity policies
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve communication, and optimize processes
Continuously integrate security best practices into project and application lifecycle management
Qualification
Required
Strong leadership and organizational skills with experience managing multiple teams and work streams
Proven collaboration with security architects and engineering teams for secure application design and deployment
Strong understanding of cloud security principles including identity management, encryption, and network segmentation
Experience with secure CI/CD practices and infrastructure-as-code security controls (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, GitOps)
Familiarity with container security, vulnerability management, and SIEM systems
Experience with cybersecurity principles, secure application development, and compliance with state agency IT security policies
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, CJIS, or other relevant government security standards
Experience in vendor management including negotiation, performance tracking, and contract management
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage risks and resolve issues promptly
Excellent communication skills to support cross-functional collaboration
10+ years of experience in application management, project oversight, and cross-functional team coordination
