Metric Geo is a nationally respected, employee-owned engineering consulting firm based in Dallas, TX. They are seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager to lead public-sector projects, mentor engineers, and contribute to business development efforts.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, design, and project management for water resources and civil infrastructure projects
Serve as a key point of contact for clients, agencies, and internal teams
Manage project budgets, schedules, and financial performance
Contribute to proposal development and business development efforts
Oversee and mentor engineers, including early-career staff
Develop construction plan packages and stormwater or drainage studies
Support construction through oversight and technical guidance

Qualification

PE license in TexasWater resources engineeringProject management experienceAutoCAD / Civil 3DHEC-RAS proficiencyProposal writingMentoring engineersBusiness developmentCoordination skillsConstruction oversight

Required

BS in Civil Engineering or a related field
PE license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
8+ years of experience supporting public-sector engineering projects
At least 3 years of project management experience
Strong coordination skills with clients, agencies, and multidisciplinary teams
Experience with proposal writing, budgeting, and project financials

Preferred

Established relationships with Texas-based clients
Interest or experience in business development
Experience managing and mentoring engineering teams
AutoCAD / Civil 3D and GIS proficiency
Hands-on experience with HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, SWMM, and HY-8
Construction oversight experience
