2+ years expLONGHORN STAFFING SOLUTIONS is seeking a Field Engineer/Project Engineer for heavy industrial construction projects. The role involves assisting the Project Manager and Construction Manager with project tasks, scheduling, and coordination of subcontractors and materials.

Responsibilities
Assist the Project and Construction Managers with the scheduling and coordination of subcontractors and material deliveries – among other responsibilities
Assist in P6 Scheduling
Assist in maintaining accurate timekeeping and cost records
Assist with project planning – support the development and execution of the pre-job plan. Assist with determining the construction techniques to be used to construct the project
Assist PM’s/CM’s with all job site reporting requirements, including daily reports, monthly updates to the construction schedule, etc
Assist Project Managers with submittal of schedule, contract documents and company reporting requirements
Attending all jobsite meetings
Maintain safety standards – monitor safety planning, execution, and documentation on assigned project
Maintain quality consistent with company standards
Close out the project in compliance with the contract documents
Notifying the Superintendent for labor and material needs
Regular job site attendance required
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
2-7 years of experience as a Field Engineer or Project Engineer (will consider Project Coordinator) for EPC working in a Plant / Refinery or data center environment
B.S. in Engineering or Construction Management
P6 Scheduling knowledge / experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, Outlook, Primavera – Procore & Bluebeam a PLUS)
Heavy/high industrial project experience
Strong preference for process piping (refineries, chemical plants, terminals, large industrial facilities, etc.)
Proven track record working on complex, schedule-driven projects
Comfort with travel and/or temporary assignments to project locations
Preferred
Experience working in a union or highly structured craft environment
