Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents, purchase agreements, and related transactional materials
Advise clients on financing structures, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance
Coordinate with lenders, borrowers, and third-party counsel to facilitate closings
Conduct due diligence and manage documentation for commercial real estate transactions
Ensure alignment with applicable laws, including New York real estate and finance regulations
Qualification
Required
Active license to practice law in New York State
5+ years of experience in commercial real estate finance
Prior experience at an Am Law 100–200 firm is required
Strong understanding of financing instruments, including CMBS, mezzanine loans, and joint ventures
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
